Prominent media personality Kylie Jenner is taking a major step toward professional filmmaking by landing her first major leading role in a dramatic television series. The project, tentatively titled «Bachelorette Weekend», is being developed for the Hulu streaming service. In addition to her acting duties, Jenner will serve as an executive producer of the show, sharing these responsibilities with her sister Kim Kardashian.

The plot of the new thriller centers around a classic detective setup: a traditional pre-wedding bachelorette party turns into a grim tragedy when the main character and bride is found dead in a swimming pool. All the girlfriends invited to the celebration instantly become murder suspects, and the narrative unfolds as a retro-perspective gradually revealing all the secrets and conflicts that preceded the crime. Notably, Kylie Jenner's character will serve as the narrator through whose memories the investigation unfolds.

Literary Foundation and Behind-the-Scenes

The television adaptation is based on an upcoming book by author Flora Collins, with the script prepared by renowned writer Lauren Oliver. Initially, the promising manuscript fell into the hands of Kim Kardashian, who was originally slated to limit her involvement solely to executive producing. Realizing the potential of the story and deciding that participating in it would serve as a powerful launchpad for her younger sister in the world of high-end cinema, Kim initiated Kylie's casting in the lead role.

Thanks to the Kardashian family's existing overarching deal with 20th Television, the project was promptly pitched to Hulu. The streaming giant acquired the series rights under a straight-to-series order scheme, bypassing lengthy competitive bidding. Currently, the official agreement is in the final stages of legal drafting, and the crew is preparing for the start of production.

A New Career Vector for the Reality Star

For Kylie Jenner, participating in «Bachelorette Weekend» marks her official debut in dramatic television as a full-fledged lead actress. Previously, her cinematic experience was limited to a cameo appearance in the indie project «The Moment» by A24, starring pop singer Charli XCX. Now, critics and fans are closely watching how the youngest sister will handle a complex psychological role.

It is worth noting that Kim Kardashian has also actively and successfully mastered the roles of dramatic actress and producer. Earlier, she starred in another major Hulu television project titled «All's Fair», and she simultaneously oversees several other large-scale television and film productions, strengthening the clan's position in the entertainment industry.

Contradictory Data

Various information sources reveal certain discrepancies regarding the degree of readiness of the television script and the official status of the contract itself. While some publications insist that the deal with Hulu is already fully closed and the project has moved into pre-production, other analytical sources claim that the straight-to-series order agreement is still in the final stages of condition coordination and final signatures have not yet been applied.
