Ukrainian artists LAMA and MÉLOVIN have released their second joint track titled 'Mizh Nami Tantra'. The dynamic pop-rock track, built on guitar riffs and energetic sound, is dedicated to a special bond between people that persists despite distance and changes in life. This was reported by Wave RBC.UA, citing the artists' press release.
Musical Framework: Drive, Guitars, and Two Voices
The composition is built on contrast: behind the powerful guitar sound and rhythmic intensity lies a story about intimacy where passion, tenderness, and pain intertwine. A key element of the track is the interaction between two voices—LAMA and MÉLOVIN—whose differing temperaments create a characteristic tension in their collaboration. According to the performers, this exact combination is meant to inspire listeners to sing along and express their own feelings more freely.
LAMA: 'Tantra is the Highest Form of Relationship'
Singer LAMA explains the song's title through her own understanding of interpersonal bonds. For her, 'tantra' is primarily an emotional connection that people continue to feel even when far apart and living different lives. 'For me, tantra is about the highest form of relationship between people,' the artist comments. According to her, such a bond is limited neither by time nor space. At the same time, LAMA emphasizes that the song also reflects her own interaction with MÉLOVIN: 'This story is about me and MÉLOVIN, and everyone can recognize themselves in it.'
MÉLOVIN: Attraction Expressed Through Dynamics
MÉLOVIN describes the composition as a story about strong attraction and tension between two people. Specifically, he aimed to convey this feeling through the character and dynamics of the track: 'I wanted to convey this through dynamic reproach—with drive, sensuality, and character,' the singer shares. The performer separately highlights LAMA's voice and how their distinct temperaments merge in the collaboration, creating a unique sound image.
Ten Videos Ten Days Before Release
Ten days before the official release of the song, LAMA and MÉLOVIN launched a series of ten videos in which they gradually revealed the idea of the composition and introduced the audience to its main theme: the connection between people capable of living different lives while continuing to experience mutual attraction. This promotional format allowed listeners to familiarize themselves with the track's concept even before its release.
The Second Chapter of Collaboration
'Mizh Nami Tantra' is the second joint work by LAMA and MÉLOVIN. Previously, the artists presented the collaboration 'Meni Tak Treba Vitryla!', which also combined their vocal and stylistic traits. The new track continues the line of their collaborative work, deepening the theme of emotional intimacy and interpersonal attraction that has become characteristic of their duet projects.
