For applicants planning to enroll in bachelor's programs at Ukrainian universities, a critical moment has arrived. If your target specialty requires passing a creative competition or an interview, there is extremely little time left to register. The Press Service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES) has warned that missing these deadlines could become an obstacle to admission.

Who is required to register?

It is important to understand that a creative competition or interview is not a mandatory requirement for all applicants. According to MES clarifications, registration for these events is necessary only for those applicants who are applying for specialties that provide for such selection forms.

Furthermore, a separate category of applicants has the right to take an interview instead of the National Multisubject Test (NMT). For them, registration is also a mandatory stage.

However, if you do not have any privileges, and the specialties you have chosen do not require creative trials, there is no need to rush. The MES emphasized that in this case, you should simply wait for the start of the application submission period, which begins on July 19.

Different schedules for state-funded and contract places

The Ministry of Education reminded that registration deadlines depend on which form of education the applicant is counting on. The schedule for those planning to apply for state-funded places differs from the schedule for those choosing a contract.

Applicants need to carefully study the current dates so as not to miss the window of opportunity. Registration for creative competitions and interviews for admission to state-funded and contract places takes place in different time intervals, which requires applicants to pay attention to the details.

How to register via EGEB

The entire registration procedure is centralized and takes place exclusively in digital format. To do this, you must use the applicant's electronic cabinet in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education Issues (EGEB).

Access to the system is available at: vstup.edbo.gov.ua.

EGEB is a centralized platform where key data is stored: information about educational institutions, electronic diplomas, testing results (NMT/UNT), and student tickets. It is through the personal cabinet in this system that the applicant confirms their participation in competitions.

Personal electronic cabinets for applicants function from June 25 to October 15, 2026. However, registration for specific stages of the admission campaign, such as creative competitions, has its own strict deadlines that must be met right now.

Context of the 2026 admission campaign

These reminders come against the backdrop of major changes in admission rules announced earlier. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nikolay Trofimenko has already talked about the innovations of the 2026 admission campaign, including a review of conditions for applicants with VOT and a correction of priorities.

This year, applicants will have to not only monitor registration deadlines but also carefully calculate their competitive score, taking into account possible additional bonuses. For those considering studying abroad, the option to receive an official extract with NMT testing results for free is also available.
