Situation in the power grid: forecast for tomorrow
Ukrainians are set to spend tomorrow, June 26, without mandatory power outages. The distribution system operator 'Ukrenergo' has officially stated that measures to limit energy consumption are not forecasted for the coming day. This is good news for residents of the country, who faced power supply interruptions the day before.
However, the absence of scheduled outages does not mean that the threat of blackouts has completely passed. The company has provided clear instructions on the use of household appliances to avoid overloading the networks during peak hours.
How to use resources correctly: tips from experts
Ukrenergo specialists urge citizens to be responsible and shift the use of energy-intensive appliances to daytime hours. The optimal period for operating washing machines, dishwashers, and other powerful devices is identified as the time between 10:00 and 16:00. During these hours, the load on the power grid is lower, and resources are distributed more evenly.
At the same time, the company strongly recommends saving electricity in the evening hours. It is during this period that a traditional increase in consumption is recorded, as people return from work and turn on lighting and household appliances. Saving energy during these hours is critical to preventing emergency situations.
Causes of instability: consequences of attacks
The day before, emergency power outages were temporarily introduced in Kyiv. As explained by Ukrenergo, the need for such measures arose due to the consequences of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. Damage to energy facilities requires constant balancing of the system's operation to prevent collapse.
The company emphasized that emergency outages are a forced measure applied exclusively to maintain the stability of the power grid. Currently, scheduled hourly outage plans are not in effect, but the situation remains tense and requires vigilance from all participants in the process.
