Ukrainian defense forces continue to systematically destroy the military logistics of Russian occupation troops on temporarily occupied territories. Regular attacks on key transport arteries, in particular the Chongar direction, are capable of paralyzing the supply of the enemy grouping, creating a threat of a transport collapse.

This was stated by military expert, Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (reserve) and former spokesperson of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (2014–2017) Vladislav Seleznev on the air of the KIEV24 TV channel. According to him, systematic and precise strikes on the Chongar bridge have a cumulative effect, gradually worsening the logistics situation for the Russian grouping in southern Ukraine.

Comprehensive pressure on logistics hubs

The Ukrainian army acts comprehensively, striking all possible logistics hubs of the enemy. Currently, pressure is being exerted on several critically important objects at once:

  • Chongar direction — road and railway communications with the mainland of Ukraine;
  • Crimean Bridge — the main illegal artery connecting the peninsula with the territory of the Russian Federation;
  • Strait of Kerch — where the Defense Forces have repeatedly successfully struck Russian railway ferries, which the enemy used as an alternative to the damaged bridge.

«Ukraine has significant resources for further scaling of such operations», — emphasized Vladislav Seleznev. The expert added that the existing potential and means of destruction allow Ukrainian military personnel not only to maintain the current pace of operations but also to intensify fire pressure on the logistics of the occupiers in Crimea in the future.

Recent strikes on infrastructure

Recall that on June 9, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Chongar bridge, due to which traffic was blocked. Russian Governor Vladimir Saldo confirmed damage as a result of a night drone attack and urged drivers to use detour routes through Armenian and Perekop.

Earlier, on June 6, occupation authorities reported an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the bridge in the Chongar area, due to which traffic to Crimea through the "Dzhankoy" checkpoint was temporarily blocked. The Center for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that this strike would significantly complicate the logistics of Russian troops in the south.
