The start of the admissions campaign is always a time of stress and rush, but for applicants who have lost their educational documents, the situation can become critical. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES) has published a clear algorithm of action for those who have lost their diploma or certificate of secondary education. The information appeared on the official page of the ministry on Facebook and was reprinted by RBC-Ukraine.

Digital footprint: how to find data about the diploma

The main recommendation from the ministry concerns searching for information in digital form. Even if you do not have a paper copy in your hands, data about the diploma may be saved in electronic databases. Applicants should contact the state enterprise "Inforresurs" to obtain a certificate confirming the presence of data in the system.

However, there is an important nuance here, which the MES warns about: SE "Inforresurs" provides exclusively informational extracts from the database. The employees of the enterprise do not engage in the production of document duplicates. This means that the obtained certificate confirms the fact of study and receipt of education, but does not replace the original diploma for submission to a university.

Deadline calendar: why you need to act now

The ministry strongly recommends checking for the presence of all necessary documents already today. The deadlines for submitting applications through the applicant's personal cabinet in 2026 are strictly regulated:

  • Admission to professional colleges starts on June 25.
  • The admissions campaign for higher education institutions will open on July 1.

The absence of documents during this period can lead to the inability to submit an application or become the cause of unnecessary bureaucratic delays, which will leave no time for exam preparation.

Exams for masters and PhD students

In addition to applicants entering for a bachelor's degree, the MES has announced a schedule for those who plan to continue their studies at higher levels. Exam sheets have already been formed and sent to the personal cabinets of candidates.

The schedule for the trials looks as follows:

  • Exams for future masters will take place from June 26 to July 14.
  • Trials for applicants entering the PhD program are scheduled for the period from July 14 to 29.

It was previously reported that in 2026, more than 102 thousand applicants plan to enter the master's program. All invitations to exams have already been formed, and candidates need to carefully monitor updates in their personal cabinets.
