The results of the twentieth annual academic rating "TOP-200 Ukraine 2026" have been announced in Ukraine. A historic event occurred this year: the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" has taken the lead in the list for the first time. The university displaced the traditional leaders of previous years, demonstrating outstanding results in international assessments.

Success Factors and International Recognition

The key factor that allowed Lviv Polytechnic to reach the top of the podium was its high scores in specialized international rankings. A significant contribution was made by its positions in the QS Sustainability and THE Sustainability Impact rankings. The university's aggregate index reached 5.11 points, which became the decisive argument in the fight for first place.

Methodology and Context

The rating was developed by the "EuroOsvita" Center for International Projects, taking into account the recommendations of the IREG Observatory. The authors of the study focused on the modern challenges facing education in Ukraine. The methodology accounts for the impact of the war and the need to conduct structural reforms in the higher education system.
