Central defender Maksym Dyachuk of Kyiv Dynamo will continue his career in the Czech Republic. The 22-year-old footballer has joined Banik Ostrava on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the club's official website. The loan agreement for the Ukrainian defender runs until June 2027. For the Czech team, signing a product of Kyiv's football academy was a key objective in the transfer market, as openly stated by the club's management.
Priority — Strengthening the Defense
Banik's Sporting Director, Ludek Miklosko, noted that strengthening the defensive line was the main priority for the off-season. According to him, Maks is a young and promising defender who fully meets the coaching staff's requirements. The Czech club believes he will adapt to the new environment and become a valuable asset.
Interest in the Club's History
Dyachuk admitted that the option of moving to Ostrava interested him immediately upon receiving information from his football agent. Before making a decision, the player thoroughly studied the history of his new team.
"I looked for information and learned that Banik is a strong brand that has won four titles in its history and the Cup five times. Then I saw videos from the stadium showing the atmosphere created by the fans. I thought: yes, this is really interesting to me," Maksym said.
The defender also promised the fans to give his all on the pitch and sacrifice himself for the team's results.
The Path to Success
Dyachuk has been part of the capital giant's structure since 2020. Together with the Kyiv team, he has already won the Ukrainian championship gold medals in the 2024/25 season. The footballer played on loan in the Ukrainian Premier League for "Alexandria" and also represented the Polish "Lechia" from Gdansk.
It was in the Polish Ekstraklasa that the defender spent the previous season, becoming a stable member of the starting lineup. In Gdansk, he played 28 matches in all official tournaments, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
