“Come to the stadium in yellow”: Andrea Maldini appeals to fans in Ukrainian to support the national team in the Nations League

Amid preparations for the autumn run of Nations League matches, the head coach of the Ukraine national team, Andrea Maldini, recorded a personal video address to the fans. The Italian specialist spoke to the “blue-and-yellow” supporters in Ukrainian and urged them to come and support the national team at the home matches, which will be held in Slovakia in October. In the video, the coach emphasized that less than a month remains until the key “blue-and-yellow” matches in the Nations League, and that the presence of the stands will be one of the main factors of success. “We really need your support, because we can only win together. So buy your tickets via the link and come to the stadium in yellow,” Maldini stated in the address distributed by the UAF.

Two nominally home matches in Trnava

The coach's address refers to two matches that the Ukraine national team will play in October in the status of the nominally home team. The matches will take place in Trnava (Slovakia) at the Anton Malatinský Stadium. On October 2, Maldini's team will face the Northern Ireland national team, and on October 5 — the Hungary national team.

Away games — the first official stretch

Before the team moves on to the home run, the Ukrainians have two away matches ahead of them. On September 25, the Ukraine national team will play Hungary in Budapest, and on September 28 — Georgia in Tbilisi. These two games will be the first official matches for Andrea Maldini at the helm of the national team, which will give them special significance both for the coach himself and for the fans.
