On Thursday, July 30, Ukraine's energy system faced severe challenges. As a result of systematic attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on infrastructure facilities, part of the Sumy region was left completely without power. The situation in the region is classified as a large-scale emergency outage.
Energy workers have already begun restoration efforts, striving to restore electricity supply to residents as quickly as possible. Operational information regarding the causes of outages and forecasts for power restoration is available to the public through official communication channels.
Casualties and Destruction Across the Country
Night strikes launched by Russia using missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles covered numerous cities. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Rivne, and other settlements, leaving behind destruction and human tragedies.
Especially severe consequences were recorded in the Lviv region, where at least 30 people were injured as a result of the attack. In the Kyiv region, shelling led to the partial destruction of a private residential house. Among the five injured was a minor.
The most tragic event occurred in the suburbs of Kryvyi Rih. There, an entire family, including three children, was killed by a hit from an enemy missile. These events highlight the unprecedented cruelty and scale of attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.
