On the night of July 18, Ukraine was subjected to a large-scale air assault. The Russian side employed a combined strike, utilizing 7 missiles and 90 combat unmanned aerial vehicles. The situation in the airspace remains tense, and air defense forces are operating in an enhanced mode.

Air Defense Effectiveness and Threat Scale

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published in their official Telegram channel, Ukrainian defenders managed to neutralize a significant portion of enemy targets. As of 09:00 AM, the destruction or suppression of one Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missile was recorded. Additionally, 69 enemy drones were shot down in the north, south, and east of the country.

Despite the active work of the air defense, it was not possible to completely prevent strikes. Direct hits from missiles and 19 combat drones were recorded in 19 different locations. Also, debris from shot-down targets was recorded falling in 5 territories, creating additional risks for infrastructure and the population.

Current Situation and Warnings

Air raid sirens and combat operations in the sky continue. The Air Force warned that several enemy drones are still in the airspace. Command strongly urges citizens to follow safety rules and be extremely cautious under the conditions of the ongoing attack.
