During the night of 2025, Ukraine experienced one of the most massive attacks by Russian occupiers. According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Nikolai Kalashnyk, the enemy used a combined tactics approach: strike drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles were launched. The strikes hit both the capital and several districts of the Kyiv region.

Consequences in the Kyiv region

Air defense systems operated in many communities of the region, however, debris and direct hits led to serious destruction in five districts:

  • Bucha district — large-scale fires were recorded here. Rescue workers continue to extinguish fires in warehouse facilities. The fire also engulfed one private building. A local resident's car was damaged.
  • Brovary district — six private houses were damaged, a dormitory building was destroyed, and one car was ruined.
  • Obukhiv and Fastiv districts — debris damaged private houses. Special commissions are currently assessing the extent of the damage.
  • Vyshhorod district — an incoming strike or falling debris was recorded; a passenger car was damaged.

Emergency services continue to clear debris, and data on possible casualties is being clarified. So far, it is known that the greatest damage was inflicted on the private sector and warehouse facilities.

Situation in Kyiv

The capital also became the target of a massive attack. According to preliminary data, there are fatalities and injured. A fire was recorded in one of the hotels in the center of Kyiv. Particularly tragic is the fact that the enemy strike hit an ambulance station — medics and drivers who were at the scene were injured.

At the moment, work continues to assess the damage and assist the victims. Emergency services are working in an enhanced mode, gathering information and eliminating the consequences of the attack.
