The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with the National Police, continues the active investigation of the high-profile incident that occurred on July 8 in Lviv. During the attack on employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC), several suspects were detained, including active-duty military personnel.
Details of the detention and actions of the attackers
According to law enforcement officials, the detained individuals showed the greatest activity during the conflict. During the clash, they blocked movement and attacked a service vehicle, causing significant damage to it. The SBU has already prepared suspicion notifications for the suspects under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Chronology of events: July 8
The incident took place on Krasna Kalyna Avenue in Lviv. During the conduct of citizen notification activities, military and police officers were attacked by a crowd. As a result of the aggressive actions of the demonstrators, the service vehicle was overturned.
Scale of the investigation
The Prosecutor's Office has initiated two criminal proceedings. The case involves police officers, TCC representatives, and about 200 civilians. Law enforcement agencies have already identified the attackers acting in the Sykhiv district and have detained some of the suspects.
First coercive measures
The court in Lviv has already selected a coercive measure for 23-year-old Oleg Gavrilov, who is suspected of attacking law enforcement representatives. It is noted that the young man has been in a pre-trial detention center since February 2026, having been transferred from a military unit.
