On the evening of Thursday, June 25, the capital of Ukraine was subjected to a new attack by Russian occupiers. Kyiv residents heard explosions caused by the launch of ballistic missiles. The situation in the city remains tense, and emergency services are operating in an enhanced mode.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, announced the start of the attack in his Telegram channel. He urged citizens to immediately seek shelter, noting that the enemy is launching ballistic missiles at the capital.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the information about the attack and added that air defense forces have already engaged the targets. According to Tkachenko, the air defense successfully hit the enemy missiles, but he warned that there will likely be more locations where debris could fall.

As a result of the attack, missile debris fell in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. The city mayor reported that emergency services are already heading to the scene to assess the damage and eliminate the consequences.
Particular attention was drawn to an incident involving a warehouse in the Darnytskyi district, which caught fire after debris fell. The situation is under control by rescuers.
Context of attacks on Ukraine
Russian occupiers regularly launch missile strikes on Ukrainian territory, choosing civilian infrastructure objects as priority targets. Recently, ballistic missiles have been actively used for attacks on Kyiv.
Experts note that this is related to Ukraine's shortage of ballistic interceptors. The country largely depends on the supply of PAC-3 interceptor missiles for Patriot systems, the production of which is concentrated in the USA and Germany.
