The Russian Federation has continued its series of terrorist attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure. Facilities in the Odesa and Kyiv regions were struck, resulting in casualties and the destruction of systems critical to the regions.

Strike on logistics in the Odesa region

Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine, Minister of Communities and Territories Development, Oleksiy Kuleba, confirmed the shelling of a logistics facility in the Odesa region. According to him, the enemy continues its targeted terror against the civilian population and civilian objects.

Enemy forces fired two ballistic missiles with cluster warheads at the region. The target was a facility providing critically important logistics for the region. As a result of the attack, people employed in maintaining the transport network were injured.

Eight road workers were injured. Two of them are in critical condition. Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized that these were people performing their daily duties to ensure the operation of transport infrastructure.

Tragedy in the Kyiv region

On the same day, the Russian army attacked a facility in the Kyiv region. The plant specialized in producing dairy products for children. As a result of the strike, four people were killed and seven others were injured with varying degrees of severity.

In addition to human casualties, unique road machinery deployed to work at the enterprise was damaged. Specialized services are working at the scenes of the incidents; the liquidation of the consequences of the strikes and medical assistance to the injured are ongoing.

Increased intensity of attacks and air defense effectiveness

Recently, Russian forces have significantly increased the intensity of strikes on Ukrainian territory. On the night of June 5, a massive attack was recorded, during which the enemy launched two air-to-surface missiles and 216 unmanned aerial vehicles of various modifications.

Ukrainian air defense units managed to shoot down 198 targets. Despite the increased density of shelling, the effectiveness of Ukrainian air defense during massive attacks in May reached 90.75%. In particular, sky defenders intercepted more than 91% of enemy "Shahed" kamikaze drones and their imitators.

Targeted strikes against specialists

In addition to strikes on critical infrastructure, the occupiers are launching targeted attacks against civilian specialists. Thus, on June 4, an enemy drone attacked the special machinery of road workers who were carrying out restoration work to meet humanitarian and defense needs.

As a result of that raid, 10 units of machinery were destroyed, but the brigade workers were not harmed. These incidents indicate the systematic nature of attacks on those who are restoring the country and ensuring the livelihood of the population.
