76-year-old Mykola Lutsenko, known to Ukrainian viewers for many years through his weather forecasts, has starred in an advertising campaign for the domestic headwear brand Ruslan Baginskiy. In the frame, the TV presenter tried on several models of caps and beanies and uttered the catchphrase that became his trademark. This is reported by Wave RBC.UA, citing the brand's Instagram account.
Advertising Campaign and Iconic Catchphrase
In the published videos and photographs, Lutsenko appears in various headwear from the fashion house, ranging from classic caps to winter beanies. A special place in the video was given to his famous phrase, which the presenter has said at the end of weather forecasts for many years: «May problems and disagreements not make the weather for you in life!» The brand thanked the TV star for participating in the shoot, calling his appearance «a special inclusion»: «Thank you, Mykola, for the special RB inclusion and for the mood. Today's forecast: I love RB!» the authors of the publication wrote.
From Announcer to Cult Presenter
Mykola Lutsenko was born on June 1, 1950. He graduated from the Kyiv College of Public Catering and later studied at the Ivan Karpenko-Kary National University of Theatre, Film and Television. He began his television career as an announcer on the ICTV channel, and in 1996 he became the host of the «Mykola's Weather» segment. It was this program that brought him widespread popularity and turned him into a recognizable TV persona whom viewers associate with weather forecasting.
Behind the Scenes: Theatre, Dubbing, and Radio
In addition to television, Lutsenko was actively involved in acting: he performed at the Youth Theater, starred in music videos, and worked on the radio. Viewers and listeners also know him from cartoon dubbing—projects featuring his voice include «Kung Fu Panda», «Ratatouille», and «The Simpsons».
Return After a Stroke
In 2017, Mykola suffered a stroke, which temporarily caused him speech difficulties. After a challenging recovery period, he returned to professional activity, and in 2025 he resumed hosting «Mykola's Weather», which became a notable event for his numerous fans.
Personal Life: A Candid Conversation
In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Lutsenko spoke openly about why he has no wife or children: he has never been married and never created his own family. «I blew it, as they say. Sometimes I think it was meant to be. You know what cases happen. No one is insured against loneliness,» the TV presenter shared, emphasizing that he is calm about loneliness and does not think it is something to be ashamed of. The new advertising campaign with the Ruslan Baginskiy brand became another testament to the fact that the cult weather forecast presenter remains in demand in Ukraine's media space.
