On November 27, the Kyiv community NaBiK will host a six-hour charity music party at the CLOSER club. Community members themselves will step behind the decks, and all proceeds from ticket sales will go to support the 'Khartia' project. This is reported by Wave RBC.UA with reference to the event organizers. The format of the evening is structured as a gradual buildup: starting calm and culminating in vinyl sets.
A community born from runs
NaBiK emerged in late 2023 as a closed Kyiv community of friends who run together every Sunday. Over time, musical events were added to the regular runs, and the project began attracting people from various fields: entrepreneurs, musicians, and representatives of creative industries. According to NaBiK co-founder Oleksiy Hulyi, the community is purposefully developing its musical direction: 'We are moving towards making music a full-fledged direction of NaBiK: with our own sound, our own artists, and our own circle of people.'
Six hours and a vinyl finale
The party program is designed for six hours and built on the principle of increasing energy — from a calm start to vinyl sets at the end. A special atmosphere is given to the event by the fact that the decks are operated not by invited DJs, but by the community members themselves. 'When the dance floor consists of people you see, run with, and joke with every Sunday, the set becomes a continuation of a conversation,' noted NaBiK member Finding Roman. This approach turns the performance into a continuation of familiar communication rather than a formal concert.
Charity format: supporting 'Khartia'
A key element of the event is its charitable component: the organizers will direct all profits from ticket sales to support 'Khartia'. This is a continuation of the community's established practice, having previously held charity parties at Bursa, Bryk, ABO, and BRUKXT clubs. Organizers call cooperation with CLOSER the next step in developing this direction while preserving the signature character of the events.
What this means for the Kyiv scene
The event demonstrates a trend towards hybrid formats where sports, community, and music unite into a single charity project. For NaBiK, the party at CLOSER is not a one-time action, but a stage in turning music into an independent direction with its own sound and audience. For listeners, this is a chance to see a set that, according to the participants, becomes 'a continuation of a conversation' with close people, while all proceeds work toward a social goal.
