Natural gas consumers now have the opportunity to significantly reduce the amounts in their bills. The state-owned company 'Naftogaz of Ukraine' has officially allowed the use of funds accumulated under the 'National Cashback' program to pay for fuel. This decision will enable citizens to effectively manage state subsidies and reduce the financial burden at the household level.

Program validity extended until 2026

A key factor facilitating the use of these funds is the extension of the program's validity period. The state has given Ukrainians more time to spend the money accumulated on special accounts. The deadline for using the balance has now been moved to July 31, 2026. This eliminates the risk of funds 'expiring,' which was previously planned for early July.

It is important to remember that any funds remaining on the balance after the specified date will be automatically returned to the budget, and the account will be zeroed out. Therefore, experts recommend not delaying the use of savings.

How savings and limits work

The 'National Cashback' program provides for the return of a portion of funds for purchasing goods of Ukrainian production. The maximum amount a citizen can accumulate in one month is 3,000 UAH. These funds are credited to bank cards and can now be directed towards covering utility services, specifically gas payments.

It was previously reported that payments for April have been received, and now a single deadline applies to all accumulated amounts — the end of July 2026.

Payment technologies: fast and convenient

The process of paying for gas with virtual money is maximally simplified and takes only a few minutes. 'Naftogaz' accepts payments through its digital services: the consumer's personal cabinet or the company's official website.

For user convenience, the company recommends settling payment obligations before the 25th of each month. Additionally, for operational account management and payments, the 'Kub' mobile application is available, allowing users to control expenses and make payments on time.
