Serving in the Naval Forces no longer means giving up on a career or education. Thanks to the 'Vstup 2026' project, Ukrainian sailors can receive education—from complete secondary school to a master's degree—without interrupting combat duties. Training is conducted in a distance format, adapted to the schedule of duty shifts, rotations, and leave.

The initiative is implemented with the support of the public organization 'Nashi Mrii' and the 3rd Recruitment Center of the Naval Forces. University lecturers flexibly adapt to the realities of military service: if a soldier is in the zone of responsibility or at exercises, classes are rescheduled or conducted in an asynchronous mode.

Who can participate?

First and foremost, the program is aimed at participants of combat operations. However, if there are free budget places, other military personnel are also admitted to training. Additionally, a unique opportunity is provided: if a soldier does not want or cannot study themselves, they can transfer the right to a place to one family member.

Simplified admission and a wide choice of specialties

Admission within the framework of 'Vstup 2026' is simplified: taking the NMT is not required, and for those who already have a master's diploma, conditions are determined individually. In 2026, seven universities in Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia joined the project—their number is growing annually.

Among the popular directions are IT, engineering, management, and humanities. In case of high demand for a specific specialty, candidates are offered alternative profiles on the same preferential conditions.

Growing interest and digital tools

The demand for education among the military is growing rapidly: in 2024, about 200 people submitted applications, and by May 2026—already more than 300. Organizers note that this is not just social support, but a strategic step: without higher education, career growth and obtaining an officer's rank are impossible.

Currently, the possibility of submitting documents through the 'Armiya+' platform is being actively implemented, which makes the process even more accessible. Military personnel are advised to contact the 3rd Recruitment Center of the Naval Forces so as not to miss the chance to study without leaving service.
