Significant changes in the organization of military logistics have been recorded on the occupied territories of Ukraine. Russian occupiers have intensified the transfer of cargo and equipment, introducing new camouflage methods to bypass control.

RBC-Ukraine reports this, citing data from the head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, Petr Andryushchenko. According to him, the situation on supply routes has undergone significant changes over the past week.

Blue trucks and fuel tankers

The main feature of the current week has been the mass use of civilian vehicles for military purposes. Russians have begun actively using fuel tankers and blue trucks to transport ammunition.

Previously, such cases were recorded mainly in Mariupol. However, such vehicles are now regularly observed on routes coming from both the Rostov region of the Russian Federation and from the occupied Crimea. Up to 20 units of cargo vehicles with such markings pass along these directions daily.

Change in convoy movement tactics

In addition to changing the type of transport, the occupiers have also changed the scheme of military convoy movement. If they previously moved in large groups, now movement is carried out in small detachments. The main direction of movement remains the route from Berdyansk to the north of the Donetsk region.

Despite the fragmentation of convoys, security measures have been maintained. All such groups are accompanied by fire groups, representatives of the military commandant's office, and Rosgvardia employees.

Reasons for the escalation of transport

Petr Andryushchenko believes that the intensification of logistics may indicate two scenarios. Either Russian troops are gradually regaining confidence in the safety of their routes, or they have found new ways to minimize risks during transport.

"It's either desperation or a found solution. Time will tell," the expert noted.

It is worth remembering that, despite attempts at optimization, the logistical routes of the occupiers in the Donetsk region remain vulnerable. Previously, after the defeat of a Russian military convoy on the Mariupol - Novoazovsk highway, the occupation authorities were forced to block traffic and organize a detour.
