The Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of Ukraine has successfully carried out another operation against Russian forces in temporarily occupied Crimea. During this raid, fighters from 'Group 13' demonstrated for the first time the effectiveness of the latest Magura maritime platforms, which are now capable of striking targets not only in the water but also on land.
Technological breakthrough: drone carriers on water
The key factor in the success was the use of the latest Magura boats equipped with FPV drone carriers. This allowed special forces to expand the range of tasks: now maritime platforms can effectively destroy enemy ground targets. Such tactics radically change the nature of hostilities in the region, forcing the occupiers to feel the threat on all fronts.
The commander of 'Group 13' with the callsign 'Thirteenth' commented on the success of the operation, emphasizing the strategic importance of the new capabilities:
"From now on, our 'Maguras' threaten Russian occupiers on land as well — this is a radical shift of the struggle to a different plane. In general, our operations during the war with the Russian aggressor confirm: there will be no place for the invaders in Crimea, neither in the water area, nor in the sky over the Black Sea, nor on the Crimean land. Crimea is Ukraine".
Balance of power: results of 'Group 13' activities
During the full-scale war, the fighters of the special unit have recorded significant achievements in the fight against the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Statistics confirm the high effectiveness of their actions:
- On water: nine Russian ships destroyed and five damaged.
- In the air: three enemy helicopters destroyed and one more damaged.
- Aircraft: two occupier fighters were hit.
These data indicate that Ukrainian special reconnaissance groups continue to effectively tie down enemy forces, using innovative technologies to achieve military goals.
