Combined Strike on the Region

The night of June 15 marked a time of unprecedented tension for the Kyiv region. The Russian Federation launched a powerful combined strike on the region, utilizing drones, as well as cruise and ballistic missiles. The attack targeted civilian infrastructure: private homes and vehicles were hit.

RBC-Ukraine, citing the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration (RDA) Mykola Kalashnyk, reports that the consequences of the attack have been recorded in five districts of the region. Casualty Situation

Preliminary data indicates that three people were injured as a result of the shelling. Medical personnel promptly provided assistance to all injured parties at the scene. Among them:

  • A man who sustained lacerations to his foot.
  • A woman diagnosed with a concussion.
  • A teenager born in 2011, who doctors recorded as having an acute stress reaction.

Mykola Kalashnyk assured that all residents whose housing was damaged by the enemy shelling would receive necessary assistance.

Context of the Night Attack

The attack on the Kyiv region was part of a broader strike launched by Russia against Ukraine on the night of June 15. The main blow was delivered to the country's capital. In Kyiv, residential buildings and a number of historical sites were damaged.

Particular attention was drawn to the hit on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, where the Dormition Cathedral was damaged as a result of the shelling. Additionally, the Dovzhenko Film Studio was targeted, where a fire broke out, destroying costumes. The situation in the region remains tense, and authorities continue to assess the full extent of the damage.
