Early in the morning, a powerful explosion rocked Kramatorsk. The target of Russian artillery was the building of the 11th branch of "Nova Poshta." Preliminary data indicates that the facility was hit by a cluster aerial bomb (KAB). As a result of the incident, which occurred around five in the morning, the building sustained serious damage, and a fire broke out inside.
People rescued, but cargo at risk
The most important news is that the branch employees were unharmed. Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service and the police immediately began their work at the scene. Currently, they are focused on extinguishing the fire and assessing the scale of the destruction. The full picture of what happened to the cargo will only become clear once the fire is completely extinguished and the debris is cleared.
20% of parcels under the rubble
The situation regarding shipments is critical. According to preliminary estimates, approximately 20% of all parcels that were in the branch at the time of the attack ended up under the building's rubble. The company has already begun an emergency restructuring of logistics routes so that customers can receive their parcels without delays, despite the destruction of one of the key hubs.
Compensation and new threats
"Nova Poshta" has taken full responsibility for the loss of cargo. The company stated that it will definitely compensate customers for losses from shipments destroyed by fire. In the near future, every affected customer will be contacted to clarify the details of the payment.
This is not the only problem the logistics company has faced recently. Recently, "Nova Poshta" services were subjected to a large-scale hacker attack, causing temporary disruptions in operations due to a DDoS attack. "Ukrposhta" also came under the aggressor's sights: during the shelling of Kyiv, the historic main post office on Maidan was damaged, where windows were broken and the facade was damaged.
