Olga Martynovskaya, a star of the culinary show "MasterChef," has spoken in detail for the first time about the reasons behind the cooling of her relationship with her former colleague and judge on the project, Tatyana Litvinova. In an interview with Masha Efrosinina, published by RBC-Ukraine, the chef commented on rumors of a conflict and explained how a misunderstanding arose between the two women, who were once close friends.
From Friendship to Tension
According to Martynovskaya, they previously shared a warm relationship. Tatyana Litvinova was so close to Olga's family that she even baptized her daughter, Vera. However, following personnel changes in the project, tension arose between the women, which escalated into a public grudge.
Martynovskaya analyzed the public statements of her former colleague and concluded that the resentment might have stemmed from a misunderstanding related to career ambitions. Olga recalled that after Tatyana left the project, when Lisa Glinskaya took the judge's seat, Litvinova said: "Why Lisa? It would have been better if they had taken you; you are more versatile, you are a cook, not a pastry chef."
The Myth of Auditioning Behind Her Back
One of the main reasons for the quarrel, according to Olga, was the version that she allegedly auditioned for Tatyana's spot behind her back. Martynovskaya clarified the situation regarding her work as a food producer. She explained that the management did indeed consider her candidacy when Litvinova was scheduled to travel to New Zealand.
"In the end, they let her go and came up with the idea to put me in. And at that point, as I analyze it now, management calculated that I might potentially be interesting. But Tanya was aware of this because she went on vacation, returned, and stayed in her position," the chef explained.
Later, after having a child, Olga was invited back to the project, but not as a replacement candidate, but as an assistant. Martynovskaya herself emphasizes that she never aspired to become a judge, as she was living in Paris and planned to raise her daughter there.
Attempts at Reconciliation
Realizing that a wall had arisen between them, Olga made attempts to resolve the situation personally. Not receiving a response to her message in the messenger, she went to Litvinova's home.
"I sat there and said: 'Tanya, what happened? Tanya, I can't find you on Instagram. Did you block me?' She said: 'No, I didn't block you.' Apparently, she unblocked me at that moment," recalls Martynovskaya.
Despite this dialogue and subsequent work contacts, silence soon followed. Olga noted that Litvinova became inaccessible on social media again and did not respond to a birthday invitation, failing to congratulate either her or their mutual goddaughter, Vera.
Olga's Position
Martynovskaya emphasized that she feels no guilt about what happened, as she made attempts to establish dialogue. She believes that if a person does not want to solve a problem and holds a grudge, that is their personal position.
"With all my respect and love, it is also not quite right to run around and beg. If a person has some problem, a grudge, and does not want to resolve it with you, then it is their problem, it turns out. That is my position. Not feeling guilty myself, I also do not feel the need to justify myself," summarized the "MasterChef" star.
