President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed Decree No. 903/2026, awarding prominent Ukrainian fencer Roman Svichkar the high state Order "For Merits" III degree. The prestigious state decoration was granted to the athlete on the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine. This step marks recognition of the athlete's outstanding contributions to the state and his long-term dedicated service to high-achievement sports.

Contribution to the Development of National Sports

Roman Svichkar holds the status of Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, is a European champion, and a three-time medalist at World Championships. Competing in the epee discipline, he represents the fencing department of the Higher School of Sports Mastery in Kharkiv. His sports career serves as an inspiring example, and his consistently high results on the international arena strengthen Ukraine's global athletic reputation.
