Customers of one of Ukraine's largest banks are being warned about a major update to their IT infrastructure. On Sunday, June 14, Oschadbank will carry out scheduled technical maintenance that will affect both digital services and physical branches.
RBC-Ukraine reports that information about the temporary restriction of access to services was posted directly in the bank's mobile app. According to official data, the work will begin in the early morning hours and last almost the entire day.
Schedule and conditions of restrictions
Technical maintenance is scheduled for the period from 03:45 to 22:00 on June 14. During this time, access to online banking and the "Mobile Oschad" app will be limited. Users will not be able to log in to their personal accounts to manage accounts, transfers, and other operations available via the web interface and app.
It is important to note that physical bank branches will also be suspended on this day. Customers will not be able to receive services at cash desks or from operators at service points.
What will continue to work without interruptions
Despite the complete shutdown of online services and branches, the bank guarantees the uninterrupted operation of the payment infrastructure. Card settlements will function in normal mode. This means that customers will be able to:
- Pay for purchases with cards at points of sale and stores;
- Withdraw cash at ATMs;
- Use contactless payments.
Bank cards will not be blocked, and transactions will be processed successfully, even if the app is unavailable.
Why the work is scheduled for a weekend
Oschadbank explained the choice of date for the major update. The technical pause is scheduled specifically for Sunday to minimize inconvenience for customers. The bank's management believes that carrying out work on a weekend will reduce the impact of technical restrictions on the daily lives of citizens and business processes, which are usually active on weekdays.
