Ukrainian TV presenter Volodymyr Ostapchuk has publicly spoken out in support of his wife Kateryna after she reacted to statements made by his ex-wife Krystyna Gorniak on the show "The Bachelor." In an Instagram stories post, Ostapchuk emphasized that he fully shares Kateryna's position and does not intend to turn his personal life into an object of public discussion. According to him, the absence of public statements does not mean a lack of support for his wife.
"I will never be a man for everyone"
In an address to his subscribers, Ostapchuk ironically commented on assumptions that his silence on social media could be construed as disagreement with his wife. "I fully support my wife. Because if I don't write anything in my stories, it means I don't support her," the TV presenter wrote. He added that he is not going to meet the expectations of all users, but will instead be guided by the vision and position of his wife: "I will never be a man for everyone. But I will be for Katya if I listen to her vision and position, instead of the crowd. She taught me that." Ostapchuk also emphasized that he does not want to turn his biography back into "a cheap soap opera on some channel, like it was before 2022, where the main character is obliged to tell people how it used to be, what happened, who is to blame, and how happy he is."
Why Kateryna became the voice of the couple
According to Styler, the couple jointly decided that the common position regarding the conflict would be voiced by Kateryna. Ostapchuk explained this by the fact that his wife, who is a journalist, finds it easier to formulate her thoughts in writing, whereas he "is not very good with writing." The presenter noted that he does not want to prove his position through public conflicts, as he considers family relationships to be more important: "If you are silent — you are not a man, if you quarrel — you are not a man. I will never be a man for everyone. But I will be for Katya."
Family life in Canada
In his address, Ostapchuk reported that his relations with the children from his first marriage and their mother, actress Olena Voychenko, have now normalized. "Everything is finally good at home for me, I can finally communicate with the children from my first marriage without scandals because of this at home and with their mother," he wrote. The family lives in Canada, where Kateryna, their son Tymofiy, and Volodymyr's two older children from his first marriage live together. The TV presenter also mentioned the upcoming addition to the family: Volodymyr and Kateryna are expecting their second child together, which will be his fourth overall.
Context: Gorniak's statements on "The Bachelor"
The conflict flared up after Krystyna Gorniak appeared on the show "The Bachelor" and recalled her marriage to Ostapchuk. On air, she spoke about her difficult relationship experience and stated that she had experienced psychological abuse. The presenter's current wife, Kateryna Ostapchuk, reacted to these statements and subsequently published an appeal accusing Gorniak of manipulation. Volodymyr Ostapchuk, in turn, confirmed that he shares his wife's views and urged not to turn his personal life into a public conflict. At the time of publication, the Ostapchuk family continues to live in Canada.
