Ukrainian singer, People's Artist Pavel Zibrov, in an open interview for RBK-Ukraine LIFE, spoke about his first marriage, which ended more than 40 years ago. The artist admitted that he feels no negativity towards his ex-wife; on the contrary, he looks back on that period of his life with warmth and understanding.
'She made the right choice'
Pavel Zibrov's first wife was Tatyana Samofalova. The couple lived together for several years, but eventually the marriage fell apart. Zibrov does not hide that at the time his chosen one left him for another man — a young and handsome student named Konstantin. Despite the painful nature of the situation in the past, today the singer looks at it philosophically.
"Normal, good, warm, human. After all, one way or another, we lived with her for three or four years, and she made the right choice to leave me, stop loving me, fall in love with someone else, and now live with him," the artist shared.
Zibrov noted that more than four decades have passed since the breakup. He is sure that his ex-wife is happy in her life and wished her and her new husband well-being. When asked if his ex-wife ever tried to get in touch, the singer answered negatively, adding with humor that she had a young and handsome Konstantin, so let them live on.
How the breakup changed the artist's fate
Pavel Zibrov admitted that the divorce was a difficult period for him. At the time, he was 27 years old, and after the breakup he allowed himself a weakness — he "partied" a bit and started drinking. However, it was precisely this difficult stage that led him to meet the woman who radically changed his fate — Marina Vladimirovna.
"If it weren't for that breakup, I wouldn't have Marina, I wouldn't have Diana, my fate would have been completely different. I am sure of this. When I divorced then, I drank a bit, there was such a thing, I partied, and then I fell in love with Marina Vladimirovna — and everything went differently," the singer said.
Family and success: the role of a woman in a man's life
In 1994, Pavel Zibrov married Marina Vladimirovna. From this marriage, a daughter Diana was born (February 1997), who now works as an SMM specialist and PR manager for her father. In addition, the singer has a stepson Alexander — Marina's son from her first marriage, born in 1982. From his first marriage to Tatyana Samofalova, Zibrov has a son Sergey, who was born in June 1983.
Zibrov emphasized that a man's success largely depends on the woman who is by his side. It is his current wife Marina whom he considers the key figure in his life. "A man's success largely depends on who his wife is," the artist concluded.
