Pensioners in Ukraine now have the opportunity to change their payment method without leaving home. You can now switch from postal delivery to crediting funds to a bank account, change banks, or update details — all of this can be done online via the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).

How to submit an application online

To complete the process, you must log in to the PFU portal using a qualified electronic signature (QES). Before starting the procedure, you need to prepare scanned copies of the necessary documents. The size of each uploaded file must not exceed 1 MB.

After submission, the application is automatically sent to the Pension Fund. You can track its status in your personal account under the "My Appeals" section.

Requirements for the bank account

The PFU reminds that for pension payments to be credited, the account must meet several conditions:

  • be opened in one of the authorized banks;
  • be designated specifically for crediting pension and social payments;
  • be active at the time of application submission.

Experts from the fund note that the online service significantly simplifies the re-registration process and helps avoid payment delays when changes are reported in a timely manner.

Additional opportunities for pensioners

It is worth noting that Ukrainians can legally purchase additional insurance service years to qualify for retirement if they are short. Instructions are also available for making voluntary contributions through the PFU or the tax authority, including for past years.

Citizens residing abroad can also arrange their pension remotely — provided they have an open account for social payments, a qualified electronic signature, and the ability to upload documents via the PFU web portal.
