Ukraine's Pension Fund (PFU) has significantly expanded the functionality of its online service by introducing the ability to pre-order paper certificates and documents. Citizens who need a document in paper form can now submit an application in advance at a chosen Fund service center and pick up the ready certificate at a convenient time — without queues and without additional appointment registration. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
How the new ordering mechanism works
The application procedure is maximally simplified: the user forms a request for a paper document through the Fund's digital interface. If needed, a single application can be made for several paper documents at once, which saves time and eliminates the need for repeat visits. The ready documents must be collected within 30 days of the application's creation. If the option of receiving them at a service center is chosen, the visit date must be no earlier than three business days after the application is submitted — this is the time needed to prepare the document.
Collection options and status tracking
The PFU retains all previously available channels for receiving documents. A certificate can still be ordered with postal delivery, and a digital version — a copy of the certificate — is sent to the applicant's email. The application status can be checked in the "My Applications" section on the Fund's platform. As soon as the status changes to "completed," the documents can be collected at the chosen service center without additional appointment registration. Thus, the Fund has effectively eliminated the main barrier for citizens — waiting in queues and the need to coordinate the visit time in advance.
Who can receive a pension early and what additional payments are provided
It is worth recalling that certain categories of Ukrainians have the right to apply for a pension 5 or 10 years before the established age. This applies to persons who worked in hazardous working conditions, mothers with many children, combat veterans, and other categories of citizens provided for by legislation. In addition, certain categories of Ukrainians may receive an additional pension payment of 800 to 1000 hryvnias. This refers to Olympic champions and other outstanding athletes with special merits to the state.

Introducing the ability to pre-order paper documents online is a logical step within the overall strategy of digitalizing public services in Ukraine. For millions of citizens who still need paper certificates for processing social benefits, confirming work experience, or interacting with other authorities, the new function significantly reduces waiting times and eases the load on service centers.
