Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, made a stern statement regarding the possible involvement of Belarus in hostilities. In an interview with the publication "Zerkalo," the politician stated that the entire territory of the neighboring state is within the range of Ukrainian weapons. He emphasized that in the event of a new attack from the Belarusian side, key facilities of the country will be destroyed.

Belarus as an active participant in the war

Podolyak commented on recent threats by Alexander Lukashenko against Ukraine, calling them purely a propaganda move. However, he drew a clear red line: if Minsk again allows missiles or drones to be launched from its territory, Kyiv will consider Belarus an active participant in hostilities.

According to the advisor, the consequences for Minsk in such a scenario would be identical to those experienced by the territory of the Russian Federation. Thanks to proven long-range technologies, Ukraine is capable of striking any key facility on the territory of the neighboring state.

"Then running around with a half-empty rifle or, rather, with an 'AK' without a magazine — that will be childish babble," noted Podolyak, referring to Lukashenko's demonstrative exercises.

Situation at the border and military potential

Ukrainian intelligence is recording the active redeployment of military units and the construction of camps along the common border. Despite these provocations, Podolyak noted that the Belarusian army's own forces are insufficient for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

For a real offensive, Russia would have to mobilize significant reserves, which it currently lacks due to active fighting on other sections of the front. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fully control the northern border, have established clear logistics, and have identified all necessary targets for defense.

The rhetoric of Ukrainian military officials, including the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi, is aimed at making Minsk "think before making rash steps" and getting involved in the active phase of hostilities.

Internal risks for Lukashenko

Podolyak also drew attention to public sentiment. Unlike the Russian population, Belarusian society categorically does not support the war against Ukraine. Citizens of Belarus clearly understand the difference between peace and war and see the horrors of Russian aggression.

The advisor to the head of the Office of the President advised Lukashenko to weigh internal risks and personal consequences before escalation. "As a cautious person who wants to live until retirement, I know, ensure the transfer of power, build a dynasty... but nevertheless, it would be desirable for him to simply keep silent today," concluded Podolyak.

Recall that earlier, the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces stated that Ukrainian military personnel had identified the first 500 potential targets on the territory of Belarus and advised Lukashenko "not to poke his eyes" at Ukraine.
