Warsaw is moving from words to action: Poland is beginning active preparations of infrastructure and logistics to host additional contingents of US troops. This decision is directly linked to fulfilling commitments made by Donald Trump during his presidency. The launch of this large-scale effort was announced by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Logistics and financing: preparations for reinforcement

According to Polish media, the Council of Ministers' Committee on National Security will soon take over the coordination of the process. According to Tusk, the work has already begun on the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

"The Security Committee on Tuesday morning will work on preparing sites, infrastructure, logistics, and resources for the presence of US troops in Poland," emphasized the head of government. Warsaw aims to be as ready as possible to implement the statements of the American leader to ensure the rapid and effective integration of military forces.

Visit to Washington and jokes about the UFC cage

The Prime Minister's statements came against the backdrop of preparations for an important diplomatic event — the visit of Polish President Karol Nawrocki to the USA. During the trip, a meeting with Donald Trump is planned, where the parties will discuss key security issues, the permanent military presence of the USA, as well as prospects for economic and energy cooperation.

Particular attention in the press was drawn to Tusk's reaction to Nawrocki's participation in official events at the White House, which include a UFC gala concert. The Prime Minister humorously warned his colleague against excessive enthusiasm:

"We know he loves boxing, but it's better not to take risks. We know how some fights end, so I hope he won't be persuaded into such a confrontation".

At the same time, Tusk expressed hope that the President of Poland would be able to effectively use this visit to remind Trump of his promises in the security sector.

Ukrainian vector: support without bargaining

Relations between Kyiv and Warsaw have recently been going through a difficult period due to historical disagreements, in particular, regarding the issue of the UPA. Against this background, rumors circulated in the media about a possible blocking by the Polish side of Ukraine's Euro-integration steps.

However, Donald Tusk categorically refuted these versions. He assured that Poland will not use support for Ukrainian ambitions as a bargaining tool. "Integration will take place on terms that will be safe and beneficial for the Polish side," noted the Prime Minister.

Despite the tension, Warsaw is counting on the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Gdańsk on June 25-26. There will be an International Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine, and Tusk officially confirmed that he is waiting for the Ukrainian leader, as he is a co-organizer of this large-scale business forum.

Hardline stance on negotiations

On the issue of war settlement, Poland takes a hard and uncompromising stance. Tusk decisively stated that Warsaw demands mandatory participation in any negotiations regarding Ukraine. Poland does not recognize any agreements made without its knowledge.

The Prime Minister expressed serious dissatisfaction with the closed Western European "E3" format and warned allies against attempts to hastily start a dialogue with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. For Warsaw, the issue of security and the right to vote in the peacekeeping process remains a top priority.
