Power Outage Schedules Introduced in Kyiv Region Due to Enemy Shelling: Who Will Be Affected

In the Kyiv region on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, local electricity outage schedules were introduced. This measure was implemented in strict accordance with the order of the national energy company Ukrenergo, which continues to coordinate stabilization and emergency measures in Ukraine's integrated energy system. The power supply restrictions did not affect all residents of the region, but strictly defined groups of consumers distributed by queues.

According to the published operational plans, temporary power outages are applied selectively. Consumers in queue 3.2 will temporarily be left without electricity during the evening prime time from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, as well as subscribers in queue 5.2, who will experience outages from 8:30 PM to midnight. Representatives of the DTEK energy holding urged residents to understand the situation and promised to promptly inform the public about any possible changes, adjustments, or cancellations of restrictions through their official Telegram channel.

The need to introduce emergency and stabilization measures is caused by the consequences of recent enemy shelling of critical infrastructure facilities. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine officially confirmed that as a result of recent strikes on energy facilities in Kyiv, as well as the Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Zhytomyr regions, the energy system suffered serious damage, requiring the immediate intervention of repair crews.

In particular, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an advisor on the development of defense technological areas, previously reported a fundamentally new challenge for the energy system: according to his data, Russian forces used specialized warheads on jet-powered drones for the first time, purposefully designed to destroy high-voltage pylons and metal bridges. Nevertheless, local grid operators emphasize the planned and stabilizing nature of the current outages across specific queues.

Power engineers are working in an enhanced mode to eliminate the consequences of damage and stabilize voltage in the grid.
