June 2026 entered the history of the conflict as a month of unprecedented success for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight against enemy artillery. According to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published by the Ministry of Defense press service, 2,074 units of enemy artillery equipment were destroyed during this period. This is an absolute record for the entire duration of the large-scale invasion.
Scale of Equipment Destruction
To understand the scale of the enemy's losses, it is worth looking at comparative data. In May of the current year, Ukrainian troops destroyed 1,993 units of enemy artillery. The increase in figures over one month was more than 8%. Experts have calculated that the destruction of 2,074 guns and multiple launch rocket systems is equivalent to taking out of commission more than 110 standard artillery divisions.
However, artillery is not the only area where the Armed Forces of Ukraine have demonstrated high efficiency. June became the month of maximum damage to Russian vehicle equipment. In 30 days, Ukrainian forces destroyed or disabled 12,878 units of motor vehicles. For comparison, in May this figure was 8,612 units. The sharp rise in the enemy's logistics losses indicates the success of Kyiv's new strategic approaches.
'Logistical Lockdown' Program
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially confirmed the launch of a separate program called 'Logistical Lockdown'. The goal of this operation was to create systemic problems in the supply of Russian troops, strikes against which led to a sharp spike in equipment losses in June. Statistics confirm the effectiveness of this strategy: it was precisely during this period that the largest number of destroyed vehicles and artillery was recorded since the beginning of the full-scale war.
Strikes on Rear Areas and Industry
The activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was not limited to the front line. On the night of July 2, Ukrainian forces struck a strategically important object in the deep rear of the enemy — the Lukoil-Nizhnekamsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in the city of Kstovo. According to Ukrainian military sources, a major fire was recorded at the refinery. During the same operation, railway bridges and other critical infrastructure objects were damaged.
Another significant event was the strike carried out on the night of June 27. The Ukrainian defense forces used 'Flamingo' missiles to attack the 'Titan-Barricades' plant in Volgograd. These actions demonstrate the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strike targets at a significant distance from the line of contact, damaging the industrial potential of the aggressor.
Records in the Field of Air Defense
In addition to attacks on ground equipment, June became a month of record activity in the fight against air threats. According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the number of enemy air defense systems destroyed reached the maximum figure in the last two years. This is the second largest result for the entire duration of hostilities.
