A new mechanism has been launched in Ukraine aimed at simplifying the registration process for employees of the defense industry (DI). Now, enterprises of critical infrastructure can quickly arrange temporary registration for workers who have violated military registration rules and are under investigation.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine citing Natalia Gnatik, a lawyer from the "Actum" Law Firm, the tool has been operational since March 13, 2026. Access to the service has been granted to DI enterprises with the appropriate status.
Express mode via the "Diia" portal
The key advantage of the innovation is speed. The procedure for arranging temporary registration via the "Diia" portal takes only 10–15 minutes and is carried out in automatic mode. In this case, the standard check, which usually lasts up to 72 hours, does not apply.
It is important to understand that this mechanism is a temporary solution. It allows for a deferment of mobilization for up to 45 days. During this time, the enterprise is obliged to arrange permanent registration for the employee in the general order.
Risks for business and employees
Despite the simplification of the procedure, experts point out the presence of significant risks for both employers and employees. Lawyer Natalia Gnatik emphasizes the need for timely action:
- Enterprises are strongly recommended to submit documents for permanent registration in advance, without waiting for the deadlines.
- Workers should not delay visits to the TCC to update their military registration data.
Timeliness of action is critical for maintaining status. Earlier, lawyer Tatyana Lebedeva also warned about possible conditions under which deferment and registration could be annulled.
