In the Krasnodar Krai, an attack by unidentified drones has been recorded again. Footage from the territory of the Ilysky Oil Refinery (OR) has appeared online, showing a large-scale fire and thick smoke. Visual evidence suggests that the facility has suffered serious damage.

Situation on the Ground: Footage and Authorities' Reaction

In the videos published on social media, flames and columns of smoke rising above the enterprise's infrastructure are clearly visible. Judging by the intensity of the fire, the extent of the damage appears significant. However, there have been no official comments from the regional leadership yet. The Governor of the Krasnodar Krai, Veniamin Kondratyev, has not confirmed the shelling of the plant, although local Telegram channels are already actively publishing materials from the scene, including eyewitness accounts.

Ilysky Refinery: Strategic Importance and History of Attacks

The Ilysky Oil Refinery is one of the largest private oil processing enterprises in southern Russia. It plays a key role in supplying the domestic fuel market. However, under current conditions, such facilities acquire another significance: they are used to supply fuel to the Russian Armed Forces operating in Ukraine.

This is not the first attack on the enterprise. The last recorded strike on the Ilysky Refinery occurred on February 17, 2026. Then, as a result of drone activity, a fire broke out at the plant, and a petroleum product tank was damaged. According to Russian authorities, the fire area was about 700 square meters.

Economic Blow to the Aggressor

Repeated attacks on critically important energy and industrial facilities deal a tangible blow to the Russian economy. Loss of profits from the refinery's operation, costs to restore infrastructure, and reduced export capabilities—all of this together creates preconditions for the stagnation of the Russian economy. Strikes on such objects not only disrupt logistics but also undermine the financial stability of the aggressor country.
