The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced amendments to legislation concerning mobilization and the protection of labor resources. A resolution has been adopted that clarifies the procedure for reserving men of mobilization age working at enterprises critical to the functioning of the country's economy.
The new rules are aimed at preserving key production capacities while introducing stricter control over the status of such organizations. The document establishes clear timeframes and conditions for reviewing the criteria of importance for businesses.
According to the text of the resolution, enterprises that already have critical status and have received the right to reserve workers retain their powers. However, this status is valid for the period for which it was granted, but cannot exceed September 1, 2026.
An important aspect of the reform is the verification mechanism. The authorities have committed to conducting an audit of such enterprises by July 1, 2026, to ensure that their activities comply with the updated criteria for critical importance.
This means that if a company loses the grounds on which it was granted status, it may be deprived of the right to reserve employees. Thus, the system becomes more dynamic and depends on the actual contribution of business to the economy at the current moment.
