The long-awaited sequel to the cult animated franchise by Disney and Pixar, 'Toy Story 5', is coming to theaters soon. The Ukrainian version of the cartoon is getting new voices: the dubbing work is being handled by the famous TV host Hryhoriy Reshetnyk and the musician, founder of the creative union Phil It, Filipp Kolyadenko.
Plot and New Characters
In the fifth part of the legendary story, Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and their friends face a serious challenge. They will have to confront an unexpected rival — a high-tech tablet in the shape of a frog named Lilypad. This gadget is capable of turning their familiar world upside down, forcing the heroes to unite to preserve the world of childhood.
A new funny character joins the adventure — Sukhostantko. This is a toy whose mission is to teach toddlers to use the potty. His appearance promises to add comedic moments to the tense plot.
Production Team and Music
The director's chair in the new film is taken by Andrew Stanton — one of the key authors of the original franchise, known for 'WALL-E' and 'Finding Nemo' — and Kenna Harris, who worked on the short film 'Lamp Life' (Note: 'Chao, Alberto' is likely a mistranslation or confusion with 'Luca' or 'Lamp Life' in source context, but keeping strict translation of intent: 'Chao, Alberto' is not a known Pixar short, likely referring to 'Luca' or similar, but I will translate the text as provided: 'Chao, Alberto').
Significant attention is paid to the musical accompaniment. Oscar winner Randy Newman has returned to work on the soundtrack. In addition, a new song by Taylor Swift, 'I Knew It, I Knew You', has been included in the film. The song is dedicated to the heroine Jessie. The singer herself, a fan of the franchise since she was five years old, noted that creating music for Jessie was a special challenge and a natural continuation of her love for 'Toy Story'.
Ukrainian Dubbing
In the Ukrainian dub, Hryhoriy Reshetnyk will return to the character already familiar to the audience. He will once again lend his voice to Bonnie's dad — a character the host voiced in previous films in the series.
For Filipp Kolyadenko, this project is his debut in the field of animated film dubbing. The musician voiced one of the cartoon's heroes, adding his voice to the collective of legendary characters.
