As a result of massive Russian shelling of Ukrainian territory, new destruction of civilian infrastructure, deaths, and injuries among civilians have been recorded. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the large-scale strikes hit not only residential areas but also affected a diplomatic facility of international importance, raising serious concern within the global community.

Over the past day alone in Kyiv, Russian attack drones damaged two kindergartens, two schools, a residential building, a service station, as well as several warehouses and communications facilities. Among the damaged properties was the residence of the Saudi Ambassador. In addition, strikes were recorded in other regions: a sports school was damaged in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and a regional orphanage building in the Sumy region was hit by an enemy guided aerial bomb.

According to official data from the Ukrainian side, since yesterday the Russian armed forces have used 277 strike drones of various modifications against Ukraine. Of particular concern is the active use of jet-powered drones, totaling 155 units. The country's leadership emphasizes that such strikes are completely devoid of military logic and are aimed exclusively at intimidating the civilian population and destroying critical infrastructure.

While Ukrainian authorities and international monitoring groups document extensive destruction of civilian and diplomatic infrastructure, the Russian side traditionally refrains from acknowledging targeted strikes against civilian and diplomatic objects, claiming to target exclusively military assets and defense-industrial enterprises. However, facts regarding damaged kindergartens, schools, and diplomatic missions refute these statements.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy characterized the Kremlin's actions as outright terrorism and urged international partners to step up sanctions and political pressure on Moscow. The Ukrainian leadership insists on the need to further strengthen air defense systems to protect civilians and foreign diplomats residing in the country.
