On Saturday evening, September 26, 2026, the capital of Ukraine faced another massive attack by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. Air raid sirens sounded for several hours, during which residents heard explosions and the active work of air defense forces. According to preliminary data from the State Emergency Service (SES), the strikes hit several central and adjacent districts of the city, resulting in civilian infrastructure damage and casualties.
Consequences of Strikes on Capital Districts
The most serious destruction was recorded in the Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kyiv. In the Solomianskyi district, the facade of a five-story residential building was damaged by the blast wave and debris. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze over an area of 30 square meters. Photos published by rescuers show blown-out windows, charred structures, and craters in residential courtyards where specialized services continue to work.
