FC Dynamo Kyiv continues its preparations for the decisive Europa League qualification matches. During the evening training session, several footballers who did not participate in the matches against Romanian Universitatea Cluj returned to the main group. This is an important event, as these players could strengthen the squad for the upcoming clash with Greek side PAOK.

Who returned to the main group

According to the club's official website, Vladyslav Kabaev and Pierre Mungenge trained with the main group. Their return is a positive sign for the coaching staff, which is seeking the optimal balance between the players' physical condition and match practice. Both footballers will miss the first qualifying round, but now they have a chance to prove themselves in the next stage.

Individual programs

Alongside the main group, Mykhailo Mykhaylenko, Oleksandr Tymchyk, and Justin Lonwijk are training on individual programs. These players also did not participate in the matches against Universitatea, but their recovery is proceeding according to schedule. They may be included in the squad for the return legs or even make their debut in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Upcoming matches

The first leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa League will be played by the Kyiv team in Lublin on July 23. Kick-off is at 20:00 Kyiv time. The return match will take place a week later, on July 30, in Thessaloniki. It is in these encounters that the potential of the returning players may be revealed.

Start of the season in the championship

In the Ukrainian Premier League, Dynamo will open the new season on August 2. The match will take place at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Stadium, where the Dynamo players will face Kyiv's Levoberezhnyi. This will be the first home derby of the season, and the team's mindset for the entire championship will largely depend on it.

What's next?

If Dynamo manages to overcome PAOK, they could play against one of Europe's top clubs in the next round of the Europa League. For now, everything depends on the results of the current matches and the readiness of the players. The return of Kabaev and Mungenge is an important step towards strengthening the squad ahead of the decisive encounters.
