The situation on the line of contact is undergoing significant changes. According to the Defence Forces Intelligence Centre of Estonia, over the past week, Russian military losses have shown a worrying upward trend for Moscow. While the daily figure of killed and wounded previously hovered around 1,100, this week it has reached 1,400 servicemen.
This statement was made by Ants Kiviselg, Head of the Defence Forces Intelligence Centre of Estonia. His comments, relayed by ERR and published by RBC-Ukraine, paint a picture of intense fighting where the initiative is gradually shifting towards Ukrainian forces.
Debunking myths about occupation
Estonian analysts paid special attention to the situation in the Donbas. Despite persistent claims by the Russian side about full control over Konstantinovka, intelligence data suggests the opposite. The city is not under full enemy control, refuting the Kremlin's information campaign.
Furthermore, in the Alexandrovka area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to successfully push back Russian units. These local successes are forcing Moscow to transfer reserves to sectors where the tactical situation for the Russian army is deteriorating rapidly.
Fuel crisis and strategic consequences
Colonel Kiviselg also drew attention to critical problems within Russia itself. A fuel crisis continues to intensify in the country, which the Kremlin is trying to present to the population as a temporary difficulty. However, according to Estonian experts, the prospects for a quick resolution to this problem are extremely hazy.
'It should be noted that the damage Ukraine is inflicting is indeed significant, and its consequences will be felt for a considerable time,' emphasized the colonel. Strikes on logistical infrastructure and rear facilities are undermining the Russian army's ability to rapidly mobilize resources.
Future forecast
Estonian intelligence forecasts that, if the current trend continues, Ukraine will have every chance to finally weaken the enemy's ability to respond operationally to changes in the tactical situation. This will create conditions for conducting larger-scale offensive operations.
These data complement the picture of the successful work of Ukrainian intelligence services and the Navy. Previously, there were reports of the destruction of a Tu-95 strategic bomber in Engels by the SBU, as well as Russia losing 12 ships in the Black Sea. A new wave of operations against the enemy fleet confirms that pressure on the Russian war machine is intensifying across all fronts.
