The situation on the border of the Kharkiv region requires immediate safety measures. Regional authorities have decided to expand the zone of mandatory population evacuation, focusing on the Zolochiv direction. This decision resulted from an analysis of the current operational situation and was approved at a meeting of the Regional Defense Council.

Seven Settlements in the Risk Zone

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, officially confirmed the expansion of the list of territories from which residents must be evacuated to safer areas. According to published data, seven settlements in the Bohodukhiv district fall under the decree. The decision was announced on June 2 and takes effect immediately.

The scale of the operation is significant: a total of 7,157 people need to be relocated. Authorities emphasize that this is not a recommendation but a mandatory measure to preserve the lives of citizens living in the frontline zone.

Logistics and Support

The organization of the evacuation process has been entrusted to the regional administration with the support of volunteer organizations and charitable foundations. Syniehubov assured that logistical routes have already been approved and tested. The authorities have committed to ensuring that internally displaced persons are provided with everything necessary during the journey and upon arrival.

The official appeal from the administration is unequivocal: citizens are strongly urged not to delay and to leave dangerous territories as soon as possible.

Context of the Threat

The decision to evacuate is made against the backdrop of rising tension and real threats to infrastructure and the population. Recently, a drone attack on a locomotive was recorded in the Kharkiv region, injuring a railway worker. The incident confirmed that the threat extends not only to the immediate front line but also to rear logistics.

The situation regarding population evacuation is not unique to Kharkiv. Previously, similar mandatory evacuation measures were taken in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region, indicating a large-scale strengthening of security measures in southeastern Ukraine.
