On Wednesday, July 1, the Odesa region became the target of a powerful rocket attack by Russia. The object of the attack was the large production complex of the 'Snow Panda' factory. As a result of the shelling, casualties and significant material losses were recorded.
Scale of destruction and consequences for business
According to the company's press service, confirmed by the State Emergency Service (SES) of the Odesa region, the strike led to a massive fire. A significant part of the production and warehouse premises was completely destroyed.
The 'Snow Panda' factory played a key role in the region's logistics chain. The company's statement emphasizes that this was the main hub from which products were distributed throughout the country, including goods from other brands. Currently, management is assessing the scale of the damage and making emergency decisions to restore operations.
Casualties and injured
The situation regarding human casualties remains critical. The Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Kiper, reported that two people were killed as a result of the ballistic strike. Another 15 employees sustained injuries of varying severity. Of these, 11 people were urgently hospitalized and are under medical supervision.
The enterprise itself confirmed the presence of injured personnel. "Unfortunately, there are injured among our employees — they are currently receiving all necessary medical assistance," the official statement reads.
Situation in other regions of Ukraine
The attack on Odesa took place against the backdrop of an escalation in other parts of the country. On the same day, Russian forces launched a series of strikes with guided aerial bombs on Kharkiv. According to the latest data, 26 people were injured as a result of the shelling. In the Novobavarskyi district, the deaths of two civilians were confirmed, including a 15-year-old teenager.
An incident was also recorded in Kherson, where an enemy drone attacked a minibus. As a result of the attack, a child was killed, and two employees of the State Tax Service were injured.
