82-year-old Mick Jagger, the frontman of the legendary band The Rolling Stones, has indicated that he is ready for new tours. The musician admitted that he would be happy to go on tour and can hardly wait for this moment, although, in his opinion, this event may not happen in the current year. "I hope as soon as possible," he added.

The leader's words came against the backdrop of the fact that most people of his age have long left the stage and spend their time on well-deserved rest. However, Jagger maintains high activity and ambition.

Rumors of a 2027 tour

Although there has been no official announcement of new tours from the band's management yet, Jagger's remarks have fueled rumors of a possible world tour in 2027. Earlier, British media reported that The Rolling Stones had abandoned plans to hold stadium concerts in the UK and Europe in 2026, which indirectly confirms a shift in dates.

Keith Richards, the band's guitarist, also expressed support for the idea of returning to the stage. Answering questions about the future of the collective, he hinted that details of the tour should be discussed next year.

New album "Foreign Tongues"

Instead of concerts in the near future, the band has focused on studio work. The Rolling Stones are actively preparing for the release of their 25th studio album titled "Foreign Tongues". The official release of the record is scheduled for July 10, 2026.

The producer of the new material is Andrew Watt, who has already worked with the band on the previous album "Hackney Diamonds". The recording of the album turned into a large-scale event with the participation of stars of world stature. The following took part in the work on the record:

  • Paul McCartney
  • Robert Smith (The Cure)
  • Steve Winwood
  • Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
  • Benmont Tench

A special place in the album was occupied by recordings of the late drummer of the band Charlie Watts, which gives the release deep emotional value.

Album content

The final tracklist of "Foreign Tongues" will include 14 tracks. Among them are already the singles "In the Stars" and "Rough and Twisted". If the fans' forecasts and the musicians' hints come true, then the return of The Rolling Stones to the stage will become one of the most anticipated musical events of the coming years.
