Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has made a sharp statement accusing the Russian Federation of moving to a new stage of round-the-clock terror against the civilian population of Ukraine. According to him, following targeted strikes on food warehouses, retail chains, pharmacies, and critical databases, Russian troops have launched systematic shelling of bridge infrastructure.

Systematic Strikes on the Capital's Crossings

The situation in Kyiv is of particular concern, where over the past few days the occupiers have launched several massive attacks on the city's key transport arteries. Specifically, six strikes on two Kyiv bridges have been recorded. The aggressor launches strikes at the exact moment of intensive civilian transport movement and subway train traffic, creating a direct threat to the lives of hundreds of civilians. On the morning of October 3, two people were injured as a result of a strike on the Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge, and the next day, October 4, 2026, the enemy repeated the shelling of the same crossing, injuring two more civilians.

Threat of Logistic Collapse and Expert Reaction

Western analytical publications, including the authoritative New York Times, warn that such systematic attacks on the crossings across the Dnipro could lead to a large-scale logistical crisis. The separation of the left and right banks of the capital will paralyze economic activity, evacuation capabilities, and humanitarian supplies, creating a so-called logistical nightmare for the megalopolis. The city's infrastructure is functioning at the limit of its capabilities, requiring the immediate strengthening of air defense systems.

Calls for the International Community and Sanctions Pressure

In response to the escalation of violence, Ukrainian diplomacy demands an immediate and tough reaction from international partners. Kyiv insists on the need to strengthen air defense, impose tough sanctions against the Russian military-industrial complex, and draw up blacklists of individuals involved in war crimes. The Foreign Minister emphasized that the world has no right to simply watch the destruction of civilian infrastructure, but must force Moscow to stop the terror and return to real diplomatic efforts.

Contradictory Data

Despite official statements by the Ukrainian side about systematic strikes specifically on bridges as a new terror tactic, Russian agencies traditionally claim to target exclusively military facilities and defense industry enterprises. At the same time, independent international observers and local journalists record the exclusively civilian nature of the damaged objects, including passenger subway trains and public transport traffic lanes.
