On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Russian occupation forces carried out another targeted drone strike on the civilian infrastructure of the Kyiv region. The enemy targeted a supermarket located in the Obukhiv district. As a result of a direct hit by a kamikaze drone, the retail building suffered significant damage, after which a massive fire broke out at the scene, threatening to spread to neighboring structures.

Extinguishing the Aftermath of the Strike

Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine promptly arrived at the scene. Thanks to the coordinated and professional actions of the rescuers, the fire in the supermarket building was quickly localized and completely extinguished, preventing the widespread propagation of the fire. Rescue operations were complicated by the threat of repeated air attacks, but emergency services performed their duties routinely, minimizing destruction.

Condition of Victims and Medical Assistance

According to official information from the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, one person was injured as a result of the enemy attack on the supermarket. The woman suffered an acute stress reaction and a severe hypertensive crisis. She was promptly provided with all necessary primary medical care at the scene by ambulance crews, and the victim refused hospitalization.

Large-Scale Night Shelling of the Region

This incident was part of a large-scale and combined air attack launched by the aggressor country against Kyiv and the region on the night of September 30, 2026. The enemy used a wide arsenal of weapons, including attack UAVs and ballistic missiles. Serious power supply disruptions were recorded in the capital and the region, private residential houses, warehouses, and shops were on fire, and there are dead and wounded among the civilian population.

Enemy Tactics and Attack Statistics

As noted by military experts and Air Force Spokesperson Yuriy Ihnat, Russian troops continue to increase the intensity of air terror. In particular, a significant increase in the enemy's use of jet drones has been recorded. In September 2026 alone, the number of such UAVs launched across Ukraine has already exceeded 3,000 units, creating unprecedented pressure on air defense systems.
