A large-scale search and rescue operation is underway in Priluki at the site of a five-story residential building destroyed by a Russian missile strike. According to preliminary official data, the enemy attack claimed the lives of five people, and about twenty other local residents sustained injuries of varying severity. Emergency services continue to work to the limit of their capabilities, clearing the rubble in search of survivors.
Chronology of the Night and Morning Tragedy
The massive strike on the city was launched in the morning hours when civilians were still sleeping in their apartments. The night before, the Russian Federation launched a combined attack across Ukraine, using strike drones, ballistic missiles, North Korean ammunition, and Kalibr-type cruise missiles. Air defense forces managed to destroy a significant portion of the air targets, but tragic consequences and direct hits on the residential sector could not be avoided.
Rescue Operation and Saved Lives
A correspondent from RBC-Ukraine visited the site of the destruction, recording the scale of the damage and the work of rescuers. Despite difficult conditions and the threat of repeated shelling, SES personnel managed to pull a living child from under the rubble, and a woman shortly after. Search and rescue operations do not stop for a minute, as people may still be trapped under the collapsed stairwells.
Massive Strike Across Ukrainian Regions
It is worth noting that the night terror affected not only Priluki. Missile and drone strikes hit Kyiv and the region, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Oleksandriia, Kremenchuk, and other Ukrainian cities. The massive nature of the attacks emphasizes the unchanged tactics of the aggressor aimed at destroying critical infrastructure and intimidating the civilian population.
