On the morning of September 10, 2026, at least three civilians were injured as a result of a new Russian aerial attack on Kyiv. The head of Naftogaz, Serhiy Fedorenko, clarified that a Russian jet-powered "Shahed" drone attacked a Ukrnafta gas station. He emphasized that this strike had no military logic whatsoever, but was merely "the enemy's banal terror and an attempt to intimidate people." Fedorenko also reported that, in accordance with safety rules, the gas station complex was not operating during the air raid alert: staff and customers had left the premises. However, according to him, there is information about injuries among people who were located near the gas station complex.

The State Emergency Service (SES) reported that as a result of the strike, a passenger car caught fire, a public transport stop was damaged, and a fire broke out in an 8-story non-residential building. Klitschko later clarified that, at this point, four people are known to have been injured as a result of the UAV crash onto the gas station in the capital, of whom three were hospitalized by medical workers.
