The situation in the Kharkiv sector remains tense, yet Ukrainian forces maintain control over the primary counteraction measures against the enemy. Russian troops are making constant attempts to infiltrate the rear of Ukrainian positions and Kupyansk itself, employing tactics of covert infiltration in small groups. These actions are aimed both at creating media imagery for Russian domestic propaganda and attempting to gain a foothold on new lines.

Infiltration tactics and challenges in the South Slobozhanske direction

According to Viktor Tregubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Group, despite the overall moderate intensity of combat engagements, the enemy is actively employing diversionary methods. Deep penetrations are recorded in the South Slobozhanske, Velykyi Burluk, and Kupyansk directions. Unfortunately, individual Russian groups still manage to break through from the northern side directly into the city of Kupyansk, creating certain tactical difficulties for Ukrainian defenders.

Reduction of the bridgehead and AFU counteroffensive actions

Despite local enemy breakthroughs, the overall strategic situation on the right bank of the Oskil River is gradually shifting in Ukraine's favor. The occupation bridgehead on the western bank between Dvorichna and Kupyansk is steadily shrinking under the pressure of the Defense Forces. The command does not yet announce specific timelines for the complete liquidation of this bridgehead, but emphasizes the systematic nature of the ongoing operation to oust the enemy.

Successes of the 'Khartia' brigade and prospects for front stabilization

An important element in stabilizing the situation has been the active operations of Ukrainian units on the frontline. In particular, fighters of the 'Khartia' brigade conducted a successful counteroffensive operation in a forested area near Kupyansk, where Ukrainian infantry ousted the enemy from their occupied positions in a matter of minutes. The comprehensive cleanup operation on the right bank of the Oskil aims to completely neutralize the threat of infiltration and secure the city from further enemy encroachments.
